Trio in 'Starburst pattern'. Unmarked.
Cup: Earthenware cup, circular, convex sides, ear-shaped loop handle. Aerographed mustard yellow on the inside, painted on the outside with six red and six green small ‘starbursts’. Underside slightly concave and clear glazed.
Saucer: Earthenware saucer with central indentation and bowl which flares outwards towards the rim. On the upper side, aerographed in mustard yellow with small dots and rings of sgrafitto; green and red ‘starbursts’ painted around the latter. Underside clear glazed.
Side plate: Earthenware side plate with central indentation and slightly convex sides. On the upper side, aerographed in mustard yellow with small dots and rings of sgrafitto; green and red ‘starbursts’ painted around the latter. Underside clear glazed.
History note: Formerly in the collection of Susie Cooper; bequeathed to her son, Timothy Barker, who gave it to the Museum.
