Coverboards covered in white linen. Off-white paper. Collocation: four gatherings consisting of the following number of folios: eight (one attached to front cover); eight; eight; eight (one attached to back cover). 2 blank sheets 3(verso) and 15(verso). Mostly quick sketches of outdoor scenes, especially with trees, also 3 specific portraits: 1(recto) Katherine Stewart, 2(verso) ?'Elizabeth' - two portaits, drawn over with horse chesnut leaf outlines (3(recto) similarly) and 4(recto) ?'Celiaime Stewart'. Some studies of the rear part of a male dog, eg: 19(verso) and 20(recto), also 30(verso).
