Description

Coverboards comprising thick light brown millboard. Off-white paper with strong watermark running vertically down outer edge of leaves in the form of writing turned on its side (address of papermaker?). The folios are sewn and then bound together with pieces of linen. There are two pieces of laid paper glued each side of the spine. The second page has been left out of the numbering, which goes 1 2, 3, etc. Blank pages: 1.5verso, 2verso, 5verso, 7 recto-8verso, 11recto-12verso, 15verso (with black chalk offset), 16verso-18verso, 20recto-26recto, 28recto.
