Coverboards covered in white linen. Off-white paper. Collocation: four gatherings containing the following number of folios: eight (one attached to front cover); eight; eight; eight (one attached to back cover). Both sides of each sheet used except 5(verso), 6 (verso) (both with offsets) also 14(recto) and 15(verso). Assorted studies, mostly of women, usually partially curled and with faces hidden/eyes averted. One portrait study of a head, titled 'Katharine' on page 7(recto) also repeated on page 8(recto).
