Coverboards covered in white linen. Off-white paper. Collocation: four gatherings containing the following number of leafs: eight (one attached to front cover); eight; eight; eight (one attached to back cover). First 10 pages largely religious subjects including studies for Gethsemane, p11-16 anatomical studies and blank pages, 16(verso) and 17(recto) diagram of plants in L-shaped bed p17-24 figure studies and blank pages, p24 onwards plans for Croydon.

This sketchbook contains drawings and ideas for the following engravings: 'Gethsemane' [39] 1912. 'A Dream' [36] ?1911/12. 'Visitation' [37 and 45] 1912. It also contains a number of annotated plans of rooms and the garden, together with lists of requirements for the new house at Croydon: page 24 to end (although 24(recto) and 25(verso) are blank), also 23 (recto).
