Coverboards covered in white linen. Off-white paper. Collocation: four gatherings containing the following number of leafs: eight (one attached to front cover); three (five probably torn out); seven (one torn out); one attached to back cover (the other seven probably torn out). Two pages with studies of horses: 15(verso) and 16(verso). Full watercolour landscape 1(recto). 'Helena' portrait study 7(verso). 'V? Stephen' portrait study 12(verso). Studies figure with stave 11(recto), 13(verso) and 14(recto). Figure studies 14(verso) and 16(recto). All the rest landscape or nature studies. Many pages not much used. Blank 10(recto/verso).
