The Departure of the Prodigal Son
Maker: Unknown
Stained and painted glass in grisaille and two shades of silver-yellow stain. The Departure of the Prodigal Son. The father sits on the right with a small trunk at his feet. The two sons approach with their left hands raised. The Prodigal, on the left, holds his hat in his right hand. Behind them two men stand beside a table putting money into a small bag. The action takes place in a loggia with square columns supporting an architrave with panels containing foliage or profile masks; the floor is tiled. On the left, the Prodigal is shown departing with a staff over his shoulder and a pack on his back. In the background there are turreted buildings.
