Description

Cream, brown and blue, lead-glazed agateware cream jug of silver shape with three paw feet.

Cream jug. Cream, brown, and blue, lead-glazed agateware, press-moulded. Of piriform silver-shape, with shaped rim, loop handle, and three paw feet with a lion's mask at the junction of each with the body.

Notes

History note: London art market; purchased by the donors through Robert Allbrook of Messrs A.F. Allbrook, Essex, through Messrs Albert Amor, Bury Street, London, in October 1977.
