Wall Platter Type 1, No. 1143 The Elements of Earth, Air, Fire, and Water
Production: Washington, R. J.
Yellowish-buff stoneware, hand formed, with applied strips of brown clay, and decoration in brown, cream, and turquoise-green slips (engobes), and multi-fired from 1280 degrees centigrade to 800 degrees centigrade. A D-shaped piece of clay folded up at the sides and back to form a tray shape. Decorated on the flat surface with a fence (?) with a sun behind it, and water in front of it.
