Buff fritware with blue glaze
Buff fritware, wheel thrown, and coated with a slightly crazed blue glaze.
Shape: Everted rim and long, straight neck descends onto a bulbous body sitting on a small, low foot ring base. A strap handle with thumb rest (on the highest section) is joined to at the neck and body.
Exterior: Undecorated except for a thick blue glaze, which is slightly darker at the join between neck and body. The foot ring is covered unevenly with glaze, in places it has pooled in drips while elsewhere the surface is left uncovered.
Interior: Neck and upper body are coated with the same thick blue glaze while the remainder is coated with a thinner version of the same blue glaze.
