Description

Terracotta. Oval, with figures in relief. In the centre a Bacchante holding hands with an infant satyr, who dances on her left foot, two other small satyrs stand at a pedestal on which burns a fire. At the bottom of the plaque a basket of fruit.

History note: Purchased from Paul Wengraf The Arcade Gallery, Bond Street, London, who purchased it from Bochler in Germany.
