St Catherine

Production: Unknown (Uncertain)

St Catherine, carved wood in high relief. Clothed in the height of contemporary fashion, the saint stands on the back of a prostrate bearded man, who faces right wearing a hat and holding a baton in both hands. St Catherine holds her wheel with her right hand - her left hand is lost. Her hair falls in ringlets from under a crown. Her brow is remarkably high.
