Description

The Pietà, carved wood in high relief. The Virgin is seated with the body of Christ, naked except for a loin cloth, across her knees. The head of Christ is supported by St John, who stands on the left. The short figure of Mary Magdelene, holding a jar of ointment, stands on the right, with the long trailing end of her headdress caught over her left arm. The faces are expressionless and poorly carved.
