Description

Pietà, carved in boxwood, and polychromed. The seated Virgin on the left gazes upwards and Christ on the ground leans against her knees, his right arm stretched across them. His left arm is held by Mary Magdalene, who kneels beside the Virgin. The robe of the Virgin and the loin cloth of Christ still bear traces of the original blue paint.
