Hercules Reposing
Rysbrack, John Michael (Attributed to)
White marble carved in the round. Nude reclining figure of Hercules. His head is turned onto his left shoulder. His left hand holds the tail of the lion skin on which he lies, with the lion's mask over his right forearm. In his right hand he holds a club, which rests against his right shoulder.
