Botanical drawings
Draughtsman: Sowerby, James
One hundred botanical drawings on gilt edged paper variously watermarked. The two first pages watermarked I Taylor are unused and the last seven pages, 3 watermarke dI Taylor and 3 with watermark of a Strasbourg bend and Lily & initials G.R.. Marbled end papers. Bound in quarter red morocco, gilt tooled, lettered 'Hortus Sylva Montis'. Each drawing is within ruled graphite margins, interleaved with thin sheets of protective paper.
