  • Text: -4 Stiles sitting on the Germen, each has a bilabiated skiny stigma, of a dark / purple colour, the Stiles are ally hayry and shing like silver -- / The Flower has commonly 8 Stam: 4 of which appear larger than the next, the / are also all over hairy like the Stiles, of a Silvery Colour / The Flower are at first of a bale yellow brown colour, but change / after into a Spadiceous, inclinging to purple colour, and remain on the Germen. / all the flowers hang downward like unto the male Tree, but having / but one flower on each petiolus; whereas the Male I drew at Buls - / drote having 3 and sometime 4 / The calyx leaves are green, and yellow with brown on theire edges yellowish / pale reddish wein through the midle, and theire edges yellowish / the Germen contains 8 seeds, the are lodges in a cell and are of a / red colour, the Germen is a hard fleshy substance. / The Filaments are feat (?) and ashere to the base of the flower.
