Virgin and Child
Production: Unknown
Ivory carved in the round. The Virgin stands holding the Child in her left arm. Her tall figure sways backward, with the right knee breaking forward, and her head slightly tilted to the left. The smile is faint on the traditional oval face. Her mantle falls in broad soft folds.
