Hard-paste porcelain sauceboat, painted underglaze in blue with Chinese river scenes and flowers.
Hard-paste porcelain sauceboat, with moulded decoration and painted underglaze in blue. The oval sauceboat has a pinched lip spout and loop sides are painted with Chinese river scenes within moulded lobed panels edged with scrolling flowers, with shells above, the inside with painted trailing flower sprays at the rim.
History note: From the Sheldon Collection, Manchester, purchased, 1925, 5.
