Description

Soft-paste porcelain mug, transfer-printed underglaze in blue with the 'Parrot Pecking Fruit' pattern.

Soft-paste porcelain mug, transfer-printed underglaze in blue. The glaze is tinted very pale blue. Broad cylindrical body with S-shaped handle with an upward kick at the lower end and a slight longitudinal ridge.The centre of the recessed base is glazed, and the broad outer edge is unglazed. Decorated on the exterior with the 'Parrot Pecking Fruit' pattern (second version), a spray of currants, a spray of gooseberries, and a large beetle.
