Factory: Chamberlain's Worcester Porcelain Factory
Porcelain plate, decorated in iron-red, green and black enamels and gilt.
Porcelain plate, decorated in iron-red, green and black enamels and gilt. The plate is circular with a sloping rim and shallow well, supported on a low footring with a ground edge. The rim is decorated with iron-red five-petalled lotus-like flowerheads with gilt stamens, separated by a looped garland of gilt berries and leaves; the pattern is repeated below the well, which is painted in green with black cross-hatching at regular intervals. There is a gilt circle in the centre and a band round the outer edge.
