Description

Parian porcelain jug, slip-cast with applied decorations of heads of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert.

Parian porcelain jug, slip-cast, with applied decoration. The elongated body has a trefoil lip and an Etruscan handle, and stands on a low foot. The sides are decorated respectively with relief heads of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert in profile, with branches of laurel below. Round the lower part, above the foot, there is a calyx of upright pointed leaves, and above the portraits, applied fruiting vine clusters.
