Inscription or legends present

  • Text: are behind me. And then a small creature toddled along. / Naturally she could not make verses and only lisped out "I / am Gregoria Vitaliana." "What a great name for one so / little!" said a judge. "Pray are you named after one of the / great Gregorys, the Pope or the famous Doctor?" She / had never heard of the former, but at once understood / about the latter "I do not like powders" she said "either the / taste or the smell, although I live on the military / road above the valley, where they are always firing / big guns." The other cousins were pretty little twins. They / put down some green mats and stood on them, and said / "We are called Androsace, and if you will let us, we will say / a rhyme we learned in the nursery." and so they recited / Jack and Jill lived up the hill. / Both pale and poor, tho' willing: / So Jack ran down, to win a crown / And Jill to earn a shilling. / Jill and Jack right soon ran back / Much wiser than are many: / For Jack in town had lost a crown / And Jill spent her last penny,
