• Text: all the spectators, many of whom made them welcome by / their dwelling's and threw out / seeds for them. / When the birds had hopped off after their / friend, a great blaze of light shone out, / and it seemed as if the sun was shining more gloriously, for a figure like a / gold ball appeared, but he was a miser / who hugged tight quantities of round / gold plates, all wrapped one over the / other. You could not see his face / or the bags of golden syrup he also / carried inside, and he / was greatly afraid of / any of his treasure being / touched by anything. / He said / I am the Globe flower, a gold ball / Of precious money: / But never open wide; / I don't like greedy flies to call, / They want to steal my honey / And tickle me inside.
