Pottery: Unidentified Orvieto pottery
Late Medieval maiolica bowl, painted in black and green with, on the inside, a roundel divided into eight sections.
Pale red earthenware, tin-glazed greyish-beige on both sides; base unglazed. Painted in black and copper-green.
Shape 24. Circular with narrow rim, carinated sides and narrow foot.
Inside, within a black-edged green circle, there is a roundel divided into eight sections containing alternately cross-hatching and a green leaf; on the rim, alternating groups of black and green radiating strokes; and on the outside, reversed S hooks between green horizontal bands edged with black.
