Fragment of a bowl centre. Pale red earthenware, tin-glazed white on both sides and painted in blue and yellow.
Roughly circular with part of the side of the well rising up on the lower side.
A medallion framed by three concentric blue circles, containing a shield charged with the arms azure a bend or charged with three stars azure between two fleur-de-lis or, flanked by wavy ribbons. On the side, part of five C-scrolls. On the reverse, in the centre, a six-armed asterisk in blue.
History note: Probably acquired by F. Leverton Harris in Siena.
