Upper part of part of a rectangular border tile from the Palazzo Petrucci. Cream earthenware, tin-glazed on the upper surface. Painted in dark blue, green, yellow, orange, brownish-red, and, on the border tile, black.
The upper part of a rectangular border tile has a black ground decorated with grotesques including the head of a sphinx, a monster and a putto, with an egg and dart border above.
History note: Purportedly purchased in Siena by F. Leverton Harris.
