Stone Mace Head
Stone mace head, pear shape in form and now split in two. There is a hole drilled through the centre to allow attachment to a wooden rod. The stone used here is called Breccia. The object is photographed upside down. Mace heads are symbolic of the power of the king. The ruler of is often shown on temple reliefs smiting Egyptian enemies with such a weapon.
