Description

Figure from a funerary model, possibly a boat? Seated, with shaped protrusion representing legs. Both arms missing, face largely intact, however the right eye appears to have been damaged and later filled with a 'putty'-like substance. Unusual arch shaped wig (also seen on E.147.1903). General flaking of paint in some areas, particularly on the base where two circular flakes (correspondant to the two filled dowel holes on the base). Paint in general condition, with clearly distinguishable facial features, and skin and kilt recognisable. Vertical crack running down the centre of the figure's back.
