Description

Carved round wooden box (which tapers slightly inward) with lid (which has a flaring profile), featuring what would have been a solid red band running around the outside of the box, slight loss of red paint. A purple shade is visible most prominently on the interior of the box and lid. There is a small crack in the lid, as well as a small cluster of cracks in the box base. Inside, a piece of paper reads 'XXth Dyn' (crossed out), and on the reverse a revision reads 'c. IIIrd AD'.
