Glazed steatite scarab
Steatite scarab with traces of a red glazed on the exterior. The base is decorated with hieroglyphic signs, in three vertical columns and there is a single vertical hole pierced through the object. This scarab is of Canaanite manufacture, which may account for the unusual glaze.
