Description

A string of disk beads.

A string of disk beads, made from flint. Natural materials were used throughout Egyptian and Nubian history to make objects such as beads. Creating such small objects from shells and stones was not an easy task and may have taken as much time as making a bead from a mould. Found in a grave with E.113.1921 and E.117.1921.
