Description

Glazed scarab inscribed, with maat-feather, nefer sign and uraeus.

Faience (glazed) scarab beetle. On the underside are three signs: a maat-feather representing justice, a nefer sign meaning beauty and a uraeus (cobra) which was associated with royalty or gods and offered protection. This scarab was found in the same grave as E.157.1921; E.160-161.1921.
