Glazed scarab
Glazed scarab inscribed, with hieroglyphs.
Faience (glazed) scarab inscribed with the crown of lower Egypt, a uraeus (cobra) and what appears to be a papyrus plant. Found in the same grave as E.157.1921; E.159.1921 and E.161.1921. Scarabs were placed as amulets or ring seals in graves.
