A mouldmade faience scarab with five lines of text on the base. There is a single pierced hole through the centre. There are traces of resin in the inscription. The pencil mark on the back of the scarab reads SAK (perhaps Saqqara) and XXII (perhaps a reference to Dynasty 22) and there is a second ink mark reading GWF 1891. This is a reference to the collection that the object belonged to before it came into the museum. The red star and number 778 are also a reference to the catalogue of the its former owner E.T. Whyte.
