Ivory magic knife
Magical wand, 2 fragments. To offer protection. Modern copy of UC35309 in the Petrie Museum of Egyptian Archaeology . The main criterion is the way the lines of the panther head outline finish abruptly with no trace of erased lines, at the proper right brow and proper left 'cheek' - the lack of tail feathers and legs for the vulture is also untypical of other examples, as is the abrupt end to the legs of the standing central figure in the form of a lion (Professor Stephen Quirke, University College London; March 2010).
