Turned round wooden piece, with ribbed design of alternating solid blocks and adjoining pairs of stripes. At the base is a large hole almost running through the length of the object. The piece is topped by a small 'foot' part of which is missing due to chipping. It is possible this object was painted with a white pigment however this is not obvious.
