The vase appears to be made in cameo glass and is of Roman style. The mounts are in Renaissance/ Mannerist style

Previously considered to be 17th century and possibly German; could be by Castellani or Giuliano or another jeweller of the mid-nineteenth century. The vase is said to be in the Hermitage, so it could even be Russian
