Partly gilded cartonnage mask featuring a striped close-fitting shoulder-length wig, carbon black painted eyebrows, black eye outlines and pupils. Underneath the gilding is a thick white calcite preparation layer. The yellow stripes on the wig are orpiment. It may have been intended that blue stripes would alternate with the orpiment yellow.
