Description

Glazed steatite scarab, inscribed on the base with name of Ahmose (wife of King Thuthmose I). Although this King ruled in the Eighteenth Dynasty the style of scarab with a god standing holding a sceptre is more typical of the Nineteenth Dynasty, and so reference back to the past.
