History note: Sir J. Reynolds (Lugt 2364); Sir Frank Brangwyn, R.A.
Height: 273 mm
Width: 395 mm
Relative size of this object is displayed using code inspired by Good Form and Spectacle's work on the British Museum's Waddeson Bequest website and their dimension drawer. They chose a tennis ball to represent a universally sized object, from which you could envisage the size of an object.

The drawing follows the perforations on the paper; this may account for its crude quality; it has life in parts, e.g. the donkey's head on the left

Drawing (image-making) : Quill pen and brown ink over traces of black chalk on light brown paper, perforated for transfer
