Plate 17 to The Pastorals of Virgil, edited by Dr. R.J. Thornton, from the Imitations of the Eclogues, Ambrose Philips, 1821. Of the 230 illustrations, Blake was responsible for designing and executing 4 engravings and 17 woodcuts illustrating Ambrose's Imitation of the Eclogues.
