Earthenware with moulded decoration on the shoulder
Buff marl earthenware, probably wheel thrown with moulded decoration applied on the shoulder.
Shape: oval body on a disc base with a short, slightly flaring neck and a strap handle attached to the neck and shoulder
Exterior: a frieze of kufic script is moulded on the shoulder below which a series of impressed marks indicates the process of joining this decoration to the body of the jug. On the neck an impressed concentric band is visible.
