Description

White-burning clay body of semi-porcelain earthenware, thrown, decorated in slip stained deep emerald green, and covered with an alkaline, low-firing copper glaze, appearing respectively black and turquoise. Circular with a wide rim, and deep curved well, standing on a footring. Decorated on the front with adjacent broad S-shapes reserved in a black ground and coloured turquoise by the glaze, which has random yellowish stains. The back is turquoise overall except for the mark.
