Bonati was of Ferrara, commonly called Giovannino di Pio, / because That Cardinal took him under his Protection, a Boy, / which he continued to his Death, because of the great In: / dustry & other excellent qualities he continually ex: / :certed, that made him universally lov'd, & employ'd in Im: / :portant works. / He died at y age of 46 only, 1681. / Gio Paulo Scor, a German, was a reasonable Painter, & / hath been employ'd by Alex. VII in his Summer Palace of Mon: / tecavallo. He was made an Academician ano. 1635 / Honest Bonati don't seem to have spar'd Himself in his / Caricatures, any more than his Friend Scor.
