Fritware painted in blue and black under a white glaze
Pinkish fritware, wheel thrown, painted in blue and black under a transparent white glaze.
Shape: hemispherical bowl with an everted, angled rim, sits on a low, wide foot ring.
Interior: the rim is painted with a black band and on the lip a frieze of pseudo epigraphy is separated by pairs of blue vertical lines. On the body blue lines, divided by panels of dots or scrolls, radiate from the roundel which contains a star shaped rosette.
Exterior: alternating pairs of black or blue lines radiate towards the rim. Glaze covers the lower body unevenly, in some cases running onto the foot ring.
