Production: Unidentified Puente pottery
Buff earthenware, thrown, tin-glazed cream, and painted in blue, green, yellow, ochre, and manganese. Circular with deep sides, and everted rim, standing on a low footring. The inside is decorated with a central medallion containing a stylized plant, surrounded by yellow and manganese-brown concentric circles, outside which are pairs of ochre curved strokes alternating with a parti-coloured green and yellow leaf. The upper part of the sides are decorated with bands of blue, yellow, ochre and manganese-purple. The exterior is decorated with a wide border of green pyramidal motifs with stylized birds (?) between them, with two manganese-brown bands above and below, and below that a yellow and an ochre band and two manganese-brown bands.
