Description

Ruby-back dish. Hard-paste porcelain of eggshell quality painted in famille rose enamels with a seated lady and two boys beside a table laden with 'Antiques'.

Ruby-back dish. Hard-paste porcelain of eggshell quality painted in pink, blue, green, yellow, black, white, aubergine, brown and iron-red enamel colours. It has shallow, well rounded sides and a broad everted rim. The interior is decorated with a lady holding a pink fan seated beside a wooden ornamental table laden with 'Antiques', looking down at two small boys, one holding a pomegranate and the other a musical instrument made of bamboo. The rim is decorated with three delicately painted clusters of flowering sprays. The underside is applied with a mottled pale rose-pink enamel.
