Hunting Jug
Salt-glazed stoneware, the upper part dipped darker brown; decorated with applied reliefs of a stag hunt, topers, and a wind¬mill. Impressed on the front, ‘JOSEPH MAY/WHITE LION INN/MARCH’ (Cambridgeshire).
History note: Mr Radford, St. Ives, Huntingdonshire, from whom purchased for about 8s. 0d. in 1906.
