Note

Henry Brougham, (1778-1868), a barrister and liberal politician from 1810, was created First Baron Brougham and Vaux in 1830 and served as Lord Chancellor of England between 1830 and 1834, and . He was popular with the general public because of his support for the Reform Bill of 1832, and the Abolition of Slavery in 1833.
